Copyright Guidelines

Copyright Ownership

  • Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the Journal of Next Frontier Sciences a license to publish and distribute the content.
  • Upon acceptance, authors grant the journal first publication rights and a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article in all forms and media.
  • The journal publishes content under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing others to share and adapt the material with appropriate attribution.

Author Rights

  • Authors may republish their work in other venues with acknowledgment of its original publication in the Journal of Next Frontier Sciences.
  • Authors may deposit versions of their manuscript in institutional or subject repositories in accordance with our Green Open Access policy.
  • Authors may use their published material for educational and research purposes without seeking permission.

User Rights

  • Readers may download, print, and share published articles for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution.
  • Educational institutions may incorporate published content into course materials with appropriate citation.
  • Substantial reproduction or systematic distribution requires explicit permission from the journal.

Third-Party Content

  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to include any third-party material (figures, tables, extensive quotations) in their submissions.
  • Documentation of permission must be provided during the submission process.
  • Authors must properly attribute all third-party content according to the original creator's requirements.

Journal Policies

Peer Review Process

  • All submissions undergo rigorous double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts.
  • Initial editorial screening precedes the peer review process to ensure adherence to journal scope and quality standards.
  • Reviewer recommendations include: accept, minor revisions, major revisions, reject and resubmit, or reject.
  • Final decisions rest with the section editor and editor-in-chief.
  • The review process typically takes 8-12 weeks from submission to initial decision.

Open Access Policy

  • The Journal of Next Frontier Sciences operates on a hybrid open access model.
  • Authors may choose between traditional subscription access or open access publication.
  • Open access articles are immediately available worldwide upon publication with payment of an article processing charge (APC).
  • APC waivers and discounts are available for researchers from low-income countries and early-career scientists.

Ethics and Malpractice

  • The journal adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
  • Research involving human subjects must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and receive appropriate institutional review board approval.
  • Animal research must adhere to institutional and national guidelines for animal welfare.
  • Misconduct (plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission) will result in rejection or retraction of articles.
  • Conflicts of interest must be disclosed during submission.

Corrections and Retractions

  • Minor corrections are published as errata.
  • Major errors that invalidate results or conclusions warrant article retraction.
  • Retracted articles remain in the journal's archive but are clearly marked as retracted.
  • Retractions may be initiated by authors, editors, institutions, or readers with substantiated concerns.

Data Sharing and Reproducibility

  • Authors are encouraged to share research data through appropriate repositories.
  • Detailed methods sections must provide sufficient information for experiment reproduction.
  • Software and code used for analysis should be cited and, when possible, made publicly available.
  • Data availability statements are required for all research articles.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscript formatted according to journal guidelines (template available on website)

Technical Requirements

 LaTeX users: all source files and compiled PDF included

 Line numbering enabled throughout the manuscript

 Pages numbered consecutively

 Spell check and grammar check completed

 Manuscript within word count limits for article type
